The Rossignol Nova 2 is an entry-level women-specific piste ski designed to make the first linked turns feel calm and predictable. Its 74 mm waist and short 10–13 m radii roll onto edge easily, while the Xpress system package keeps the retail setup straightforward. This is the most approachable of the Nova range, aimed at building basic confidence on groomed runs.

Rossignol describes the Nova 2 as using a race-inspired shape with a relaxed feel and easy turn initiation. Its V-Profile adds controlled flex and pop, the cap sidewall construction keeps the ski light and comfortable, and the oversized sidecut helps the edge engage without requiring aggressive pressure. A poplar core balances elasticity and weight savings. The result is a forgiving piste platform that favors smooth steering over speed and force.

Choose it for a beginner learning parallel turns or a cautious intermediate who values low-effort handling on prepared snow. It is best on groomers and gentle resort terrain, where the light construction helps reduce fatigue. The narrow waist is quick but gives little flotation in deep snow, and stronger skiers will outgrow its support as speed and edge angles rise. Move to the Nova 6 or Nova 8 when more rebound and stability become useful.
