Cookies and embedded content

How we remember your choice

We save your consent preferences in your browser’s local storage under betterskis.cookie-consent.v1. This essential record contains your choices, the policy version and timestamps. It is valid for 180 days, after which we ask again. It is stored on this browser and is not sent to our server. If browser storage is unavailable, your choice may only apply to the current page.

Optional services

You can allow YouTube and Instagram separately. Before you allow a service, we show a placeholder instead of loading its player, previews or scripts. You can also follow the external link to view content on the provider’s own website.

• YouTube (Google): video previews and players. After consent, previews may contact YouTube; playing a video loads a privacy-enhanced player. The service may access or store information on your device and receive technical information such as your IP address and the page you visit. See Google’s cookie information.
• Instagram (Meta): embedded social posts and their scripts. After consent, Instagram receives information about your visit and may use cookies or similar storage, including information associated with an existing account. See Instagram’s cookie policy.
• Advertising (only when enabled): Google advertising scripts remain blocked unless you consent to advertising. This option is only shown when advertising is enabled on the site.

Third-party storage names and lifetimes can vary with the content, your account and the provider’s settings. Their policies describe their storage and processing. Our 180-day preference lifetime does not set the lifetime of third-party cookies.

Changing your mind

Use Cookie settings at the bottom of any page or the button above. Reject optional to withdraw all optional consent, or switch individual services off and save. When consent is withdrawn, the page reloads to stop content and scripts already loaded. Withdrawal prevents further loading here; it does not delete cookies already stored by other services. You can delete those using your browser’s privacy controls.
