Overview

The Rossignol Nova 10 is a frontside carving ski for women who spend most of their time on groomers but want enough shape and shovel width to handle tight terrain and soft edges. Rossignol updates the 2027 model while keeping the familiar 75 mm waist, deep sidecut and energetic piste personality. It comes as an Xpress system package, with the integrated binding interface and retail binding configuration part of this version.

A poplar core, underfoot Titanal Beam and Carbon Alloy Matrix give the Nova 10 its edge support and rebound. V-Profile shapes how the layers flex, while a slight tip rocker helps engage the broad shovel. Full sidewalls transfer pressure to the edges, and traditional camber supplies a firm-snow platform. SkiEssentials testers describe easy, playful carving and strong grip, with an 11-metre arc at 156 cm favoring linked short turns. Their feedback also puts the emphasis on lively groomer skiing rather than fast, straight-line charging.

Choose it for an intermediate or advanced skier who wants short and medium carved turns, confidence on firm snow and a lively everyday resort ski. It can help an improving skier build technique, but its narrow focus and quick sidecut are less suited to deep snow or straight-line speed. A wider all-mountain ski offers more float, while a heavier race carver gives more calm when pushed hard.

Construction & features

What the NOVA 10 XPRESS is built from, and what that means on snow.

  1. 01

    Titanal beam

The Titanal beam increases edge support, rebound and damping without making the entire ski a full metal plank.

  2. 02

    Carbon Alloy Matrix

Carbon Alloy Matrix adds longitudinal and torsional stiffness so the ski stays connected through the turn.

  3. 03

    Rectangular Full Sidewall

Full-length vertical sidewalls transmit pressure to the edges, supporting precise engagement and grip through carved turns.

  4. 04

    V-Profile

V-Profile tunes the flex of the layered construction for a precise but usable response.

  5. 05

    Poplar wood core

Poplar provides the lively wood platform beneath the reinforcement layers.

  6. 06

    Rocker / Camber profile

Slight tip rocker eases turn initiation while camber underfoot preserves grip on groomed snow.

  7. 07

    Xpress system

The Xpress system interface packages the ski with its intended lightweight binding setup.
