Overview

The 2027 Nordica Spitfire 75 is a forgiving piste ski for skiers who want easy turning as groomed snow becomes tracked and uneven. At 75 mm underfoot, it offers a little more platform than the narrower Spitfire 73 while retaining a clear preference for resort trails. The six lengths from 144 to 174 cm give developing skiers a choice of turn radii and running lengths without stepping into a metal-reinforced performance construction.

Its composite core and sidewalls combine an accessible flex with support along the edges. The On Piste rocker profile blends raised ends with camber underfoot, helping the ski enter and release turns while maintaining useful contact on firm snow. Nordica describes a shape intended to handle both compact morning pistes and the rougher surface left later in the day. TP2 Compact 10 FDT bindings are included on the FDT Demo Plate, which allows adjustment for different boot lengths.

Choose it for a beginner progressing beyond the first lessons or an intermediate who prefers relaxed skiing to forceful carving. It makes sense for practicing turn shape and edging while staying mostly on maintained runs. The additional width over the 73 is modest, so it should not be confused with a powder ski. Strong skiers seeking a firm platform for fast, highly loaded turns should look toward a more substantial wood-and-metal construction; this model’s purpose is accessible everyday piste skiing.
