Overview

The Rossignol Forza 40D V-CA is an approachable carver in Rossignol’s Forza frontside family. Its 75 mm waist and strong sidecut are aimed at groomed pistes, but the ski is built to make turn initiation less intimidating than the stiffer Ti models. The 2027 retail version uses the XPRESS system binding and retains a conventional piste shape with 10–15 m listed radii across its size range.

Rossignol combines a poplar core with its V-Profile and an underfoot Carbon Beam to keep the ski supported along the turn while the lighter construction remains easy to steer. Camber underfoot supplies edge contact on prepared snow, and the full sidewall helps transmit pressure cleanly when the skier starts to carve. With identical published geometry across the Forza 50 listing, sizing and flex are the meaningful choice here: this version prioritizes access and ease over high-speed calm.

Choose it for a progressing intermediate or advanced skier who wants a forgiving piste ski for regular resort laps. It is most useful on groomed or lightly broken snow, where the narrow platform rolls quickly edge to edge and the sidecut helps shape turns. It will run out of support sooner under a powerful expert skier, and the waist offers little float in deep snow. Choose a Forza 50 or Ti model for more rebound and stability, or an all-mountain ski for wider conditions.
