Overview

The 2027 HEAD Kore 87 Ti W is a frontside-leaning all-mountain ski for women who want a quick edge change on firm snow and enough width and rocker to leave the groomers when conditions soften. At 87 mm underfoot, it is the narrowest women’s Kore Ti model and feels closer to a versatile resort ski than a powder specialist. The 2027 version carries forward the construction with updated graphics, according to the exact-year ski test.

A poplar and recycled PET wood core sits between two Titanal layers in HEAD’s Freeride Sandwich Cap build, with Graphene, a flax-reinforced top surface and tip-and-tail rocker. The metal laminates add damping and edge support, while the rocker eases release and pivoting in bumps or loose snow; camber underfoot keeps it composed through a carved turn. The 2027 testers liked its quick, swingy feel and versatility, though feedback on firm-snow grip and stability varied by skier and conditions.

Choose it if you are progressing beyond groomers or want a lively, damp daily ski for mixed resort days, especially where firm runs lead to bumps, trees or softer snow. It asks for some input and can reward a skier who likes to roll it onto edge, but the short turn shape keeps it approachable for an intermediate willing to explore. It is not as precise on icy hardpack as a dedicated piste ski, nor does an 87 mm waist offer the float of a wider freeride ski on deep days.

Construction & features

What the Kore 87 Ti W is built from, and what that means on snow.

  1. 01

    Poplar and recycled PET core

HEAD pairs poplar with recycled PET stringers in its PET Wood Core. The wood supplies the core structure while the recycled PET contributes a light, resilient feel.

  2. 02

    Two Titanal layers

Two metal sheets reinforce the ski and add damping and torsional support. That helps it stay composed through rough resort snow and hold an edge when pressured.

  3. 03

    Flax-reinforced top surface

HEAD’s Hybrid Top Surface uses flax in a protective top laminate. It helps shield the ski from surface wear while contributing damping to the construction.

  4. 04

    Tip-and-tail rocker

Raised tip and tail contact points make the ends easier to release and pivot in softer snow; camber underfoot preserves a supportive platform on groomers.

  5. 05

    Freeride Sandwich Cap construction

The layered sandwich construction supports the edges under load, with a cap wrapping over the upper ski for protection.

  6. 06

    Flat ski without bindings

This HEAD.com configuration is sold without bindings; choose a compatible binding separately.
