Firebird SRC + Comp 13 Demo

The 2027 Blizzard Firebird SRC + Comp 13 Demo is the short-turn specialist in Blizzard’s consumer Firebird frontside range. Its 68 mm waist and 11–13.5 metre radii favor quick, tightly linked carved turns, with 155–170 cm lengths for a nimble resort tool. The included Comp 13 Demo binding and FDT Race Plate Pro B make this a complete piste package for firm snow rather than a flat ski.

Blizzard combines a Trueblend Race woodcore with 3Ti Racing construction, full ABS sidewalls and full camber. The three Titanal layers add torsional support and damping when the skier drives the edge, while the tuned woodcore gives the ski enough flex to come across the fall line quickly. Full camber keeps the edge engaged through the turn and returns energy at release. Its tighter shape changes direction faster than HRC or WRC, but gives up flotation and dislikes passive, smeared turns.

Choose the SRC for an advanced or expert skier who spends most days on hard groomers and enjoys short, precise arcs, slalom-like rhythm and repeated edge changes. Blizzard identifies it as a Frontside ski, and its narrow platform is purpose-built for firm, precise carving. The HRC suits a broader mix of short and medium turns, while a wider or softer ski is better for bumps, fresh snow and relaxed all-mountain use.
