Overview

The 2026/27 HEAD Supershape e-Speed is the narrow, long-turn specialist in the family: a 68 mm waist and a 14 m radius at 170 cm place it squarely in frontside carving. It comes in five lengths from 156 to 184 cm, with the HEAD.com selector showing the radius grow from 11.5 to 16.7 m across that range. HEAD lists the ski as an on-piste, advanced-level model and pairs the catalog configuration with a Better Balance PR plate and Protector EVO PR 13 GW binding.

Its listed build combines Crossforce Carbon, Worldcup Sandwich Cap Construction, EMC, Graphene, a structured UHM C base and Speed Rocker. HEAD describes Crossforce Carbon as a direct connection between the binding and ski construction, aiming to send input quickly to the edges. EMC is designed to filter vibration. A small rise at the tip helps smooth turn entry, while camber beneath the boot supports edge contact and rebound. The 68 mm platform changes edges quickly, but offers little flotation in soft snow.

Pick the e-Speed if prepared pistes are your priority and you enjoy controlled medium-to-long arcs with a precise, sport-oriented ski. Shorter lengths make tighter arcs, but this remains a narrow piste ski rather than an all-mountain choice. It is less appropriate for frequent off-trail use, deep snow or skiers who want a broad platform and an easygoing feel.

Construction & features

What the Supershape e-Speed is built from, and what that means on snow.

  1. 01

    Worldcup Sandwich Cap construction

HEAD’s Worldcup Sandwich Cap construction uses wood with reinforcement layers to give this frontside ski a supportive, responsive structure.

  2. 02

    Titanal reinforcement

Metal reinforcement adds stiffness and damping, supporting grip and composure when carving on firm snow.

  3. 03

    Crossforce Carbon

Carbon connects the binding area directly to the ski construction, helping transfer boot input into the ski for accurate edge response.

  4. 04

    EMC vibration damping

HEAD’s Energy Management Circuit is intended to filter unwanted vibration and help the ski maintain a calmer snow contact at speed.

  5. 05

    Speed Rocker

Speed Rocker adds a small amount of tip rise to ease turn initiation, with camber underfoot supporting grip and rebound on firm snow.

  6. 06

    Better Balance PR plate

The Better Balance PR plate is designed to maintain a constant ramp angle across boot-sole lengths for a consistent stance.

  7. 07

Protector EVO PR 13 GW binding

This cataloged configuration includes the Protector EVO PR 13 GW binding mounted on the PR system plate.
