Overview
The Atomic Bent Decode is a park-first freestyle ski for riders who want to progress on rails, jumps and presses while keeping enough shape for laps around the rest of the mountain. Its new 2027 design sits apart from the older Bent models: a diamond-inspired outline, HRZN 3D tip and lightweight core aim to make the ski easy to swing and control. It is a dedicated creative tool rather than a powder ski.
ABS CoreGuard runs from tip to tail to protect the ski on hard landings, while reinforced Resist Edges are built for repeated rail contact. The HRZN 3D tip adds surface area and keeps the front of the ski moving smoothly when buttering or landing. A twin-tip profile and centred park stance make switch skiing natural; the relatively narrow 90–93 mm platform changes edges quickly and stays manageable on hardpack. The tradeoff is limited float and less support for high-speed freeride skiing.
Choose it for park laps, jumps, rails and a skier who wants the whole mountain to feed freestyle practice. Intermediates can use its forgiving shape to learn, while advanced and expert park skiers will value the low swing weight and durable edges. It is not the right tool for deep powder or charging chopped snow: a Bent 90 offers more all-mountain range, and a wider freeride ski gives much better flotation. Its strengths appear when precision, balance and repetition matter more than raw stability.
