Overview

The 2027 HEAD Kore 94 TI is a directional all-mountain ski for skiers who want a strong edge on firm snow but still leave room for bowls, trees and changing resort conditions. Its 94 mm waist sits between a frontside carver and a wider freeride ski. For 2027 it carries over structurally from its recent redesign, with a slightly updated graphic; this unisex model is sold flat, with bindings selected separately.

HEAD combines a Karuba and beech wood core with two 0.4 mm Titanal layers and Graphene in a Freeride Sandwich Cap construction. The wood blend balances lower mass with a more planted feel, while the metal adds torsional support and vibration damping for edge hold on firmer snow. Tip-and-tail rocker lifts the contact points to ease turn release and help the ski move through softer snow; camber underfoot keeps a positive platform for carving. The protective Hybrid Top Surface is designed to reduce chipping and scratching.

This is a good match for advanced skiers and experts who spend much of the day on piste but want a single ski for soft snow and off-piste detours. In SkiEssentials’ exact 2027 test, reviewers praised its broad usefulness, edge grip and composed feel, while noting it is not especially light or the most agile ski in its class. A narrower piste ski will feel quicker edge to edge; a lighter, softer ski is easier to flick through bumps, and a wider ski gives more support in deep snow.

Construction & features

What the Kore 94 TI is built from, and what that means on snow.

  1. 01

    Karuba and beech wood core

Karuba, a lighter wood, is paired with denser beech to balance manageable weight with a more settled ride.

  2. 02

    Dual Titanal reinforcement

Two 0.4 mm Titanal layers add torsional stiffness and damping, helping the ski stay composed and maintain edge contact when driven on firm or rough snow.

  3. 03

    Graphene reinforcement

Graphene is included in the layered construction as a lightweight reinforcement. HEAD names it as a construction material but does not quantify its individual performance contribution.

  4. 04

    Freeride Sandwich Cap

The ski’s sandwich construction encloses the wood core and metal layers, supporting consistent power transfer along the edges. The official catalog lists this construction for the Kore TI family.

  5. 05

    Tip-and-tail rocker

Rocker at both ends reduces the effective contact near the tips and tails, making turn release easier and helping the ski move through soft snow; camber remains underfoot.

  6. 06

    Hybrid Top Surface

A smaller flax topsheet is used to reduce chipping and scratching and add damping, according to HEAD’s catalog explanation of the Kore construction.

  7. 07

    Flat ski without bindings

This is the flat ski-only configuration; bindings are sold separately. The catalog’s Attack binding option is not included in this representative listing.
