S/MAX N°8 BLACK + M10 GW

The Salomon S/MAX N°8 Black + M10 GW is a women’s piste package for skiers who prioritize easy turn initiation and predictable carving. A 72 mm waist makes edge changes quick, and the 11–14 metre sidecut radii suit compact turns on resort runs. The five lengths from 145 to 165 cm offer a relatively short size range, with M10 GW bindings and an Easytrak interface included.

Dual Core 2 combines an ash-based core with tri-axial fiberglass reinforcement to add torsional support without a metal laminate. The Edge Amplifier SL interface directs pressure toward the edges while allowing the ski to flex underfoot. Semi-sandwich sidewalls support the working section of the edge, with a more forgiving construction toward the ends. Camber maintains useful contact through a carved turn; modest tip rocker helps the ski engage without an abrupt catch.

Choose it for an intermediate or less aggressive advanced skier who spends most days on prepared snow and wants to develop clean, linked turns. Its light reinforcement and compact shape favor maneuverability over the planted feel of a substantial metal ski. A powerful skier pressing hard at speed may want more support, and the narrow waist provides little flotation in fresh snow. It makes most sense when piste skiing is the main purpose, rather than occasional preparation for wider resort exploration.
