Overview

The Rossignol Arcade 80 Xpress is a narrow, piste-oriented all-mountain ski for quick turns and everyday resort laps. The 2027 manufacturer workbook lists RAOFZ01 as a carryover, with an 80 mm waist and short radii across six lengths. Its compact platform suits groomers, bumps and firm mixed snow where fast edge changes matter more than deep-snow float. Xpress bindings are included as a system package.

The poplar wood core, LCT stabilizing strip, VAS damping and cap sidewall construction keep the ski light and approachable while preserving edge contact. Extended sidecut supports a predictable arc, and rocker-camber-rocker shaping helps the tips enter a turn without demanding race-level pressure. The narrow waist rolls quickly from edge to edge; the tradeoff is limited float and less composure in heavy chop than a wider Arcade. The workbook records the same 130/80/118 geometry across lengths, with radii from 9 to 14 metres.

Choose the Arcade 80 Xpress for an intermediate skier who spends most days on groomers, or an advanced skier wanting an easy, nimble frontside tool. Its system binding simplifies setup but limits the buyer's choice of binding and mount. It is not the right choice for frequent powder days, aggressive high-speed crud skiing or a playful off-piste style. Those skiers should move wider in the Arcade family; skiers who value low-effort turn initiation and predictable piste handling will find the 80 mm waist more manageable.

Construction & features

What the ARCADE 80 XPRESS is built from, and what that means on snow.

  1. 01

    Poplar wood core

The poplar core keeps the narrow ski light and responsive for repeated resort turns.

  2. 02

    LCT stabilizing strip

LCT steadies the center of the ski and reduces vibration without making the platform as demanding as a full-metal carver.

  3. 03

    VAS damping

VAS material damps the tip, helping the shovel stay calmer over firm or uneven piste snow.

  4. 04

    Rocker / Camber / Rocker

Camber supports edge contact and rebound while rocker eases turn entry in bumps and variable surfaces.

  5. 05

    Extended sidecut

Extended sidecut maintains a useful carving arc across the length range while retaining quick steering.

  6. 06

    Cap sidewall

Cap sidewalls keep construction forgiving and help the ski remain easy to roll edge to edge.

  7. 07

    Xpress integrated binding

Xpress integrates the binding into the package, so separate binding selection and mounting are not required.
