Overview
The Dynastar M-Cross W 82 Open is a women’s all-mountain ski with a strong frontside focus. Its short-turn geometry and broad shovel make it quick to engage on groomers, while the 82 mm waist and rocker leave room for bumps, trees and loose snow beside the trail. The exact 2027 test says the ski carries a graphics update and otherwise returns unchanged. This Open version is ski-only; Dynastar sells the related Xpress package separately.
The ski uses a three-direction poplar-and-polyurethane Hybrid Core 2.0, fiberglass, full sidewalls and an H-Tech reinforcement, with a Titanal section around the binding zone. The wider shovel encourages turn entry; a narrower tail releases smoothly, helping the ski stay manageable through short turns. Testers describe it as light, quick and lively, with strong energy and grip for carving. They also note mixed edge-hold feedback on very firm snow, and some recommend choosing a longer length because the rocker makes it feel shorter.
Choose it if you want a nimble resort ski for groomers, bumps and packed trees, and value easy turn initiation over a heavy, damp ride. Testers include both progressing intermediates and advanced skiers, with comments supporting a broad but not beginner-specific audience. The ski can handle firmer conditions, though edge grip was not a universal strength on icy terrain. Its narrower platform is not intended for deep powder; a wider freeride ski will float better, while a dedicated carver will feel more precise on hard snow.
