Overview

The Rossignol Hero ST Ti KONECT is a short-turn piste carver for advanced and expert skiers who enjoy quick, committed edge changes. Its 68 mm waist is the narrowest of these retail Hero carvers, favoring precise transitions on firm snow. The listed 11–14 metre radii point toward linked short arcs rather than the longer-turn emphasis of the LT. KONECT provides the retail system interface.

A beech core and full Titanal reinforcement create a substantial platform for grip and power. Power Tip connects the front of the ski with that reinforcement to engage the shovel smoothly. Line Control Technology limits unwanted counter-flex through the center, while V-Profile tunes flex and rebound. Full sidewalls transfer pressure to the edges, and traditional camber keeps the ski connected to prepared snow. Slight tip rocker helps the start of the turn without giving it a loose freeride character.

Choose it for technical resort skiing where carving accuracy and an energetic finish matter more than off-piste range. The supportive build rewards a balanced, active stance and can be demanding when simply steered flat or skied passively. Its narrow platform offers little flotation in deep snow, and a softer piste model is easier for a skier still establishing parallel turns. The LT suits more open arcs; the MT offers another balance of width and reinforcement.

Construction & features

What the HERO ST TI KONECT is built from, and what that means on snow.

  1. 01

    PEFC beech core

The beech core provides a substantial, damp platform for stable, precise carving under strong input.

  2. 02

    Full Titanal reinforcement

The full metal reinforcement strengthens the ski against twisting and supports power, damping and edge hold in loaded turns.

  3. 03

    Line Control Technology

A central reinforcement rail limits unwanted counter-flex so pressure stays connected along the ski.

  4. 04

    Power Tip

The tip structure connects with the Titanal reinforcement to transmit pressure into the front of the ski for smoother, more direct turn engagement.

  5. 05

    Multi-radius sidecut

The blended sidecut is designed to support different phases of a carved turn, helping the ski engage and finish an arc rather than following one constant radius.

  6. 06

    Rectangular Full Sidewall

Full vertical sidewalls transfer pressure into the edges for grip and precision on firm pistes.

  7. 07

    Camber with slight tip rocker

Traditional camber supplies edge contact and rebound; a small amount of tip rocker eases the start of the turn.

  8. 08

    KONECT system interface

This retail version uses the KONECT ski-and-binding interface, distinct from the competition R22 system. The selected retail package determines the supplied binding.
