Unleashed 114

The 2027 Nordica Unleashed 114 is a wide freeride ski for storm days, soft resort snow and big lines where a 98 or 106 mm platform starts to feel outmatched. Its 114 mm waist and four lengths from 174 to 191 cm give advanced skiers a choice between a more nimble, slash-friendly setup and a longer, more composed ride. Nordica sells this version flat, with the Marker Griffon 13 listed as a suggested binding rather than included hardware.

Freeride Flow Shape combines early rise in the tip and tail with camber underfoot, helping the ski plane up in fresh snow while retaining a predictable platform when the run gets tracked. The Lite Performance Wood core and carbon stringers keep the wide ski lively, while Drift Lock adds a single waist-tuned metal strip for damping, stability and edge hold as speed rises. True Tip trims heavy ABS from the nose and extends light wood forward, reducing swing weight so the 114 can still pivot and pop between trees and side hits.

Choose it when powder, natural features and open bowls are central to your skiing and you want a playful ski that can still drive through chop. The 114 has more float and landing support than the narrower Unleashed models, but it remains easier to redirect than a full 120 mm powder tool. Its width and rocker make long firm traverses and precise frontside carving less rewarding, while skiers who spend most days on hardpack will be better served by a narrower all-mountain or piste ski.
