Overview
The 2027 Spitfire CA is the more approachable entry in Nordica’s narrow frontside carving group. Its 70 mm waist in the 140 and 150 cm lengths and 71 mm waist from 156 cm upward keeps edge changes immediate, while six lengths from 140 to 174 cm give developing skiers useful sizing options. The SL-inspired tip helps the ski enter a turn easily, and the GS-influenced waist and tail support both shorter and longer arcs on groomed snow.
Energy CA combines Performance Wood with full sidewalls. The wood core gives the ski a smooth, predictable platform, while the sidewalls pass pressure to the edge for a direct feel during a carved turn. Full camber keeps the center engaged on firm snow and rewards clean balance through the turn. The FDT Demo Plate and TP2 Compact 10 FDT binding are part of the exact package, with a 3–10 ML range and practical boot-length adjustment.
Choose it for a progressing intermediate or less aggressive advanced skier who enjoys learning to vary turn shape on groomers. The narrow waist makes it quick to roll from edge to edge, while the wood core supports technique development beyond simple sliding turns. Full camber still asks for purposeful balance and pressure. It is a focused piste tool with little deep-snow float; regular off-piste exploration calls for more width, and a skier who wants a stronger metal-reinforced carving platform should consider the TI version.
