Overview

The 2027 Nordica Spitfire 73 is a progression-focused piste ski designed to remain manageable at lower speeds. Its 73 mm waist makes changes of edge straightforward, and the six offered lengths span 144 to 174 cm. Nordica positions it for skiers improving their skills before moving to more demanding models, making controlled turns on groomed slopes its central purpose.

The composite construction favors an accessible feel, while On Piste rocker combines easier turn initiation and release with camber beneath the foot. That shape gives a developing skier room to guide a turn rather than commit immediately to a strong carved arc. The narrow platform also keeps the distance from one edge to the other modest. This is a complete package with TP2 Compact 10 FDT bindings and an FDT Demo Plate for boot-length adjustment, rather than a flat ski requiring separately selected bindings.

It suits a beginner building independent control or an intermediate who enjoys moderate speeds and wants predictable piste handling. Choose the length for the skier’s size and progress, since the radius increases through the range. The forgiving purpose brings limits: deep snow needs more flotation, and a skier who loads the edges hard at speed may prefer a stronger construction. The Spitfire 75 adds a little width and sidewall support, while the wood-core CA and metal-reinforced TI offer other steps within the family.
