Overview

The 2027 HEAD Kore 104 Ti W is a women’s freeride ski for advanced skiers who want a stable platform for soft snow, broken terrain and big, open turns. Its 104 mm waist at 170 cm gives it more flotation than the Kore 93 Ti W, while the current 2026/27 test describes this season’s change as a graphic update to an otherwise carried-over ski. It is sold flat, with bindings selected separately.

A poplar and recycled PET core sits in HEAD’s Freeride Sandwich Cap construction with two Titanal layers, Graphene and a flax-reinforced Hybrid Top Surface. The metal adds torsional support and damping for firm entries and tracked snow; the core pairs wood with recycled PET. Rocker at the tip and tail helps the ski rise and release in soft snow, while camber underfoot keeps pressure available for carving. Its long turn radius and wide platform favor speed and space over quick, tight direction changes.

Choose the 104 Ti W if your resort days often include soft snow, chop or off-piste lines and you are comfortable driving a directional ski. It can carve groomers, but its width and longer arcs make it less nimble edge to edge than the 93 Ti W, especially in firm, narrow runs or crowded bumps. The 2027 SkiEssentials test calls it a powerful, damp freeride option with useful firm-snow range, but that strength comes with a more deliberate feel than a lighter, narrower all-mountain ski.

Construction & features

What the Kore 104 Ti W is built from, and what that means on snow.

  1. 01

    Poplar and recycled PET core

The hybrid core pairs poplar wood with recycled PET stringers. HEAD uses this lighter core construction in the women’s Kore Ti models to balance support with manageable weight.

  2. 02

    Two Titanal layers

Two metal sheets stiffen the ski and reduce vibration, helping it stay composed when pushed through firm snow or chopped-up powder.

  3. 03

    Freeride Sandwich Cap

Layered construction supports the edges under load, while the cap wraps the top of the ski for protection.

  4. 04

    Tip-and-tail rocker

Rocker at the tip and tail helps the wide ski rise in soft snow and makes the ends easier to release; camber underfoot retains a firm platform for turning.

  5. 05

    Hybrid Top Surface

A protective top laminate helps resist chipping; HEAD also describes flax as a damping component in the top construction.

  6. 06

    Flat ski without bindings

The selected configuration is the ski only. Bindings are chosen and mounted separately.
