Overview

The Fischer Transalp 92 CTI Pro is a lightweight touring ski aimed at experienced skiers who want support on difficult descents without carrying a heavy resort ski uphill. Its roughly 92 mm platform balances climbing efficiency with more soft-snow surface area than a narrower touring ski. Fischer positions the Pro for steep and firm conditions as well as longer days.

A selected paulownia core and carbon stringers keep the build light, while an extended shaped Titanal inlay adds support. Sandwich sidewalls help transfer pressure to the edges and tip rocker makes turns easier to initiate when the snow changes. The construction prioritises a low touring weight, so a skier coming from a heavier alpine ski should expect to manage more feedback in chopped or hard snow rather than assume the same damped feel.

Choose it for backcountry touring when the ascent matters but the descent may include firm or variable snow. Its modest weight and moderate width suit longer climbs, while its directional touring brief asks for a capable skier who can manage changing conditions. For deep powder, a wider touring ski provides more flotation; for lift-served charging in rough snow, a heavier alpine ski may feel calmer. Bindings and climbing skins are purchased separately.

    Extended Shaped Ti inlay

Fischer describes an extended Titanal insert intended to support stability in difficult and firm snow.

  3. 03
