Overview
The 2027 Zero G 88 is a narrow touring ski for uphill-focused days where efficient climbing and predictable descents matter more than maximum flotation. Its 88 mm waist and four lengths from 157 to 178 cm keep edge changes quick on firm traverses and variable spring snow. Early-rise tips and tails help the ski release in tighter turns, while the compact shape remains more at home on technical routes than in deep storm snow.
Blizzard combines a Trueblend Tour woodcore with an ash insert in the Trueblend RPET Tour construction. That insert adds support through the binding area while the lighter touring build keeps the ski’s stated pair weights between 2,080 and 2,500 g across the offered lengths. Camber underfoot preserves edge contact on hard snow, and partial ABS sidewalls provide pressure transfer without the mass of a full alpine sandwich. The result is a touring platform that favors a steady, controlled rhythm over resort-style damping.
Choose the Zero G 88 for an intermediate or advanced tourer who spends substantial time climbing and expects firm, mixed or spring conditions on the way down. It is easier to carry and pivot than a wider freeride ski, but gives up flotation when the snow is deep and suspension when the track is rough. A 96 or 105 mm Zero G makes more sense for frequent soft-snow missions. Blizzard lists Pintech Touring as the suggested binding, which is selected separately.
