Overview

The 2027 Faction Dancer 89 Ti is a frontside-leaning all-mountain ski for skiers who want hard-snow grip and lively rebound, with enough width for bumps and softer resort snow. At 89 mm underfoot it moves quickly between edges, while its progressive flat tail favors strong forward turns over park or switch skiing.

A poplar core is reinforced by two full-length Titanal sheets, adding torsional support and helping quiet vibration without making the ski unusually heavy for its category. Camber underfoot supports edge contact; tip and tail rocker ease turn initiation and pivots. SkiEssentials testers found it notably grippy and composed on groomers, yet quick and agile in bumps, trees and tighter technical terrain. Several testers also noted that the tail rewards a committed stance, so it is less forgiving when skied passively.

Choose the Dancer 89 Ti if you are an advanced or expert skier who wants a strong everyday resort ski for groomers, bumps and varied snow. It offers more edge hold and damping than the metal-free Dancer 89, with more maneuverability than a wider charger. If you are still developing your stance or want a low-effort ride, the non-Ti Dancer 89 is the easier option.

Construction & features

What the Dancer 89 Ti is built from, and what that means on snow.

  1. 01

    Dual Span Titanal

Two full-length sheets of Titanal reinforce the ski. The metal supports edge pressure and helps damp vibration as conditions get rough.

  2. 02

    Poplar and fiberglass core

The poplar core provides a lively flex; fiberglass layers support it between the Titanal laminates.

  3. 03

    Progressive flat-tail profile

Tip and tail rocker ease turn entry, while camber beneath the boot supports grip. The flatter tail helps drive and finish forward turns.

  4. 04

    Elliptical sidecut

A longer radius beneath the foot and shorter radii near the ends are intended to make pivoting and turn initiation easier.

  5. 05

    XL edges and full-strength sidewalls

Full-strength sidewalls transfer force to the edges; oversized edges add material for durability and contact on firm snow.

  6. 06

    Flat ski

Bindings are sold separately; the stated weight excludes binding hardware.
