Overview

The 2027 Rustler Team is a junior freeride ski for confident young skiers who want to explore the whole resort rather than stay on one type of run. Its 90 mm waist in the shorter sizes and 92 mm waist in the longer two give it useful support in soft snow, while the five lengths from 132 to 164 cm cover growing riders. Its distinctive topsheet shares the family’s visual style, with a separate junior construction for playful resort skiing.

A full vertical laminate woodcore uses beech and poplar to give the ski a predictable, energetic flex without relying on adult Rustler metal laminates. Full ABS sidewalls transmit pressure to the edges, while the rockered tip and tail with camber underfoot make turn entry and release easier in bumps and soft snow. The shape is deliberately versatile: enough waist for off-piste exploration, but still manageable when a young skier returns to groomers.

Choose the Rustler Team for an intermediate to advanced junior who already links turns confidently and wants to ski trees, bumps and soft snow with more support than a narrow learning ski. Bindings are selected separately. The wood-and-fiberglass build provides less high-speed support than an adult Rustler with metal reinforcement. Younger beginners may be better served by a shorter, softer piste-oriented junior package.

Construction & features

What the Rustler Team is built from, and what that means on snow.

  1. 01

    Beech/poplar woodcore

Vertically laminated beech and poplar provide elastic support and rebound for progressing juniors, with fiberglass reinforcement rather than the adult family’s Titanal construction.

  2. 02

Rockered tip, camber underfoot, rockered tail

Rocker at both ends helps young skiers pivot and float, while camber underfoot maintains edge contact.

  3. 03

    Full ABS sidewalls

Full ABS sidewalls transfer pressure to the edges and add durability.

  4. 04

    90–92 mm junior freeride platform

The waist widens to 92 mm in the two longest sizes for extra support in soft snow.

  5. 05

    Flat ski

Bindings are supplied separately, allowing an appropriate junior setup to be selected.
