Overview

The 2027 Blizzard Canvas 100 is a twin-tip all-mountain ski for skiers who find turns, small jumps and playful lines throughout a resort. At 100 mm underfoot, it is the narrowest Canvas and a practical choice for mixed resort snow when freestyle movement matters more than maximum carving power. Five lengths run from 162 to 186 cm. This is a lively alternative to Blizzard’s more directional resort skis, with enough platform for occasional soft snow.

A poplar-and-paulownia woodcore sits inside Blizzard’s fiberglass-and-carbon light sandwich construction with full ABS sidewalls. Rockered ends let the ski release and pivot, while light camber underfoot provides a platform for linked turns. In POWDER editor Max Ritter’s 2027 review, the ski felt energetic and easy to redirect in bumps and trees, and responded well to a forward stance. Its useful edge hold does not give it the mass or suspension of a heavier, metal-reinforced charger.

Choose the Canvas 100 for an intermediate through expert skier who wants approachable handling, side hits and a playful daily ski in moderate snowfall. The shape also suits a freeride skier who spends time on park features. Deep, chopped-up snow exposes its limits: the 108 offers more flotation, while a heavier directional ski better absorbs rough snow at speed. For mostly icy pistes, a narrower carving ski offers a more focused tool.

Construction & features

What the Canvas 100 is built from, and what that means on snow.

  1. 01

    Poplar + paulownia woodcore

The light wood mix keeps the ski mobile and quick while retaining support through the center.

  2. 02

    Fiberglass and carbon light sandwich

Fiberglass and carbon add structural support while avoiding the mass and stiffness of a full metal laminate.

  3. 03

Rockered tip and tail with light camber

Rockered ends make the ski pivot and smear, while light camber keeps some edge contact.

  4. 04

    Round taper

Round taper helps the ski swivel through trees, bumps and soft snow rather than locking into one arc.

  5. 05

    Full ABS sidewalls

Full ABS sidewalls provide direct edge pressure when the skier loads the ski on firmer snow.
