Ability
The Atomic Bent 100 is for skiers who see more than one way down a run: a turn through the trees, a slash through soft snow, or a jump off the next roller. Its 100 mm waist gives it room to explore beyond the piste, while the light poplar core keeps it easy to move around. For 2027, new Chris Benchetler artwork refreshes the topsheet while the construction carries over unchanged.
Its character is playful and mobile, with tip and tail rocker helping it pivot and release a turn. Camber underfoot provides grip and rebound when you bring it back onto an edge. The shaped HRZN 3D tips and tails help with flotation, while the raised tail makes room for switch skiing and freestyle moves. The appeal is the freedom to mix trees, bumps, soft snow and occasional park laps in the same day.
The Bent 100 suits progressing intermediates through experts who value agility and a freestyle approach to all-mountain skiing. It can link groomers between those off-piste laps, but firm-snow carving and high-speed composure are compromises: a dedicated piste ski grips more precisely, and a heavier ski can feel calmer in rough snow. For deeper powder, a wider platform offers more float. Choose it for a lively, adaptable ride with a soft-snow bias.
What the BENT 100 is built from, and what that means on snow.
A poplar wood core keeps the ski light while providing rebound and absorbing impacts. The published weight is 1,700 g per ski at 179 cm, or 3,400 g per pair without bindings; Atomic does not publish a separate weight for every length.
The profile combines 20% tip rocker, 65% camber and 15% tail rocker. The raised ends help the ski float and release turns in soft snow, while camber underfoot supplies edge contact and rebound.
Three-dimensional shaping around the tips and tails adds surface area for flotation and helps the ends move through soft snow. Atomic uses this Bent-specific HRZN 3D profile to support the ski’s loose, playful handling.
Full-height sidewalls transmit pressure to the edges. Rounded top edges help protect the ski from damage, combining edge support with a more durable cap around the upper edge.
Thicker steel edges are intended to withstand the extra wear from park use and sliding rails, adding durability for skiers who mix freestyle laps into their all-mountain skiing.
Raised tips and tails allow switch skiing and freestyle moves. The directional outline keeps forward skiing in focus, giving the Bent 100 its combination of all-mountain purpose and twin-tip versatility.
Atomic specifies an 87° side edge angle and a 1° base bevel. These are the factory edge-tuning specifications; subsequent servicing can change them.
This is the flat ski, supplied without bindings. A compatible binding must be selected and mounted separately. The quoted ski weight excludes that binding.
