Overview

The 2027 Black Crows Corvus is a 110 mm big-mountain ski for advanced skiers who prioritize open terrain, speed and powder days. The official 2026/27 workbook marks it as a new design, and the current product page calls it the fifth version with an all-new shape. Its 25 m radius and long, fairly straight outline suit broad arcs more naturally than quick carved turns.

Black Crows pairs classic camber with two progressive rockers: front rocker helps the broad tip rise, while tail rocker gives the ski room to pivot and release. The brand describes a solid flex underfoot with more progressive ends, plus a dash of titanal. SkiEssentials’ 2027 test describes a poplar/beech and fiberglass build with titanal beneath the binding; testers found more maneuverability than the previous shape, though their views on firm-snow stability varied.

Choose it for open bowls, soft snow, steep freeride lines and fast linking turns; the added tail rocker and taper give it more steering range in tighter terrain than the long radius suggests. Even so, this is not an easy everyday choice for low-speed or narrow groomer turns. At 110 mm it floats well, but the long turn shape wants space, and the powerful platform rewards a confident skier who can drive it.

Construction & features

What the Corvus is built from, and what that means on snow.

  1. 01

    110 mm big-mountain platform

The broad 110 mm waist gives the ski a large platform for soft snow and supports its big-mountain use; it is wider than a frontside all-mountain ski.

  2. 02

Dual progressive rockers and classic camber

Rocker at both ends makes it easier to pivot and release. Classic camber underfoot keeps an edged platform for grip and support on firmer snow.

  3. 03

    Long 25 m sidecut radius

The 25 m radius describes a long, relatively straight arc. It favors open turns and speed over quick, tight carving.

  4. 04

    Progressive flex with titanal reinforcement

Black Crows describes a solid center with more progressive flex toward the tip and tail, plus titanal reinforcement. SkiEssentials’ 2027 test reports a poplar/beech core and fiberglass with titanal beneath the binding; this is the independent test’s material description.

  5. 05

    Flat ski, bindings sold separately

The 2026/27 workbook shows the ski-only configuration. Bindings are not included and must be selected separately.
