M7 Mantra

The 2027 Völkl M7 Mantra is an all-mountain ski for skiers who put powerful, accurate turns at the centre of their resort day. Its 96 mm platform leaves room for mixed snow and excursions beyond the piste, but carving remains its strongest attraction. The construction carries forward with refreshed graphics for 2027, and bindings are sold separately.

The wood core combines denser material beside the sidewalls with lighter wood through the centre, supporting the edges while keeping the ski responsive. Length-specific Titanal frames add damping and torsional support; carbon reinforcement helps the tips react precisely. Four different sidecut zones work with low tip-and-tail rocker to vary the turn shape: the tighter centre encourages a compact carved arc, while the longer sections let the ski run more smoothly. Camber underfoot supplies grip and rebound when you load the ski.

Choose the M7 for firm groomers and variable resort snow if you enjoy driving the edges and carrying speed. SkiEssentials’ 2027 testers consistently valued its stability, though they differed on how forgiving it felt. Some found it accessible; others found the firm flex and eagerness to carve demanding in awkward terrain. Advanced skiers and experts are its clearest audience. A softer, lighter ski will take less work in tight bumps and trees, while a wider, more rockered ski offers easier flotation and slashing in deep snow.
