Ability
The Rossignol Sender 110 Jonah LTD is a limited graphic edition of the powerful freeride twin, offered in 184 and 191 cm. It targets soft-snow resort days, natural jumps and fast lines through tracked powder, with a wide platform and supportive center rather than a lightweight touring build. Its pale topsheet and blue bases distinguish it from the regular Sender 110; the official construction list and geometry at these lengths match the standard model.
Its shape is more composed than a loose powder ski. Twin rocker helps the ends release and makes a slash or switch landing possible, while camber and relatively little taper leave a long effective edge when the ski is driven. The poplar core, Titanal Beam and Carbon Alloy Matrix give the stiff underfoot section power, rebound and quietness; VAS vibration absorption and full rectangular sidewalls help the edge stay engaged. Air Tip reduces mass at the extremities, keeping the wide ski maneuverable.
Choose the Sender 110 for advanced and expert skiers who want a powerful soft-snow ski that can still carve the groomer back to the lift. SkiEssentials testers describe a smooth ride and easy flotation, while POWDER praises its suspension in chop. That composure comes with a compromise: tight trees and moguls take more effort, particularly when the skier stops driving it. Strong input brings out its best, and long, open turns suit it especially well. A narrower ski is quicker on hard snow; a softer twin asks less of someone skiing slowly or spending most of the day in the park.
What the SENDER 110 JONAH LTD OPEN is built from, and what that means on snow.
A Titanal insert underfoot increases power transfer, edge grip and rebound, giving the ski a strong platform for fast, loaded turns.
A carbon, basalt and fiberglass matrix adds longitudinal strength and snap while preserving a balanced flex and manageable swing weight.
Rocker at both ends eases turn release and flotation; the progressive outline supports drifting, carving and varied turn shapes rather than locking the ski into one arc.
A lighter tip construction concentrates mass underfoot, helping the wide ski pivot and stay maneuverable in soft snow.
Continuous vertical sidewalls transmit pressure to the steel edges for precision and grip when the snow firms up.
The Vibration Absorption System reduces high-frequency chatter and improves contact with uneven snow, contributing to a quieter ride.
Rossignol's PEFC-certified poplar core balances weight, elasticity and damping.
The Open version is a flat ski. Bindings are sold separately.
