Overview

The Rossignol Hero Elite MT Ti C.A.M. is a sporty piste carver for skiers who want strong grip across a useful range of turn shapes. Its 73 mm waist sits between the narrow ST and LT styles and broader resort skis, with a supportive tail and a little more versatility in the outline. For 2026/27, Power Tip and a revised tail shape update engagement and release. This is the retail KONECT configuration.

A poplar core, underfoot Titanal Beam and Carbon Alloy Matrix provide reinforcement without the LT’s full-metal construction. The carbon-and-basalt weave adds strength while V-Profile shapes the flex and rebound. Full sidewalls and pronounced camber favor clean edge contact, with only modest tip rocker. SkiEssentials testers found impressive grip on ice and lively carving; one also noted that the firm tail made sideways speed control harder than on looser skis.

Choose it for advanced and expert skiers who enjoy an active, technical style on prepared runs. It can link medium turns smoothly and respond when more pressure is added, without asking for the same approach as a longer-arc specialist. It remains a frontside tool: limited flotation and a committed tail make deep snow and casual drifting less natural. A softer piste ski suits someone still establishing reliable parallel turns; a wider all-mountain platform covers frequent trips away from groomers.

Construction & features

What the HERO ELITE MT TI C.A.M. KONECT is built from, and what that means on snow.

  1. 01

    PEFC poplar core

Poplar balances elasticity, damping and weight, giving the ski a responsive wood platform for linked turns.

  2. 02

    Titanal Beam

An underfoot metal insert strengthens grip and rebound without extending a full Titanal layer through the whole ski.

  3. 03

    Carbon Alloy Matrix

A diagonal carbon-and-basalt weave combined with glass stringers adds strength and a balanced flex while limiting added mass.

  4. 04

    Power Tip

The tip structure connects with the Titanal reinforcement to transmit pressure into the front of the ski for smoother, more direct turn engagement.

  5. 05

    Multi-radius sidecut

The blended sidecut is designed to support different phases of a carved turn, helping the ski engage and finish an arc rather than following one constant radius.

  6. 06

    Rectangular Full Sidewall

Full vertical sidewalls transfer pressure into the edges for grip and precision on firm pistes.

  7. 07

    Camber with slight tip rocker

Traditional camber supplies edge contact and rebound; a small amount of tip rocker eases the start of the turn.

  8. 08

    KONECT system interface

This retail version uses the KONECT ski-and-binding interface, distinct from the competition R22 system. The selected retail package determines the supplied binding.
