Overview

The 2027 Unleashed 90 is the approachable end of Nordica’s freeski range, built for progressing skiers who want a playful twin-tip shape without the demands of the wider models. Its five lengths from 144 to 174 cm use a 90 mm waist that is manageable on groomers and still useful for park laps, bumps, trees and occasional soft snow. The model is aimed at learning modern freeride and freestyle movement rather than high-speed charging.

The Energy CA construction uses a full wood core and vertical sidewalls. Nordica describes this combination as a way to provide edge support and a smooth ride for developing skiers. Traditional camber underfoot supplies a stable platform and rebound, while early rise at the tip and tail helps the ski release from a turn and move through softer snow. Its twin-tip form leaves room for learning switch skiing and playful direction changes without requiring the stiffness of a specialist performance carver.

Choose the Unleashed 90 for an intermediate skier progressing into all-mountain and freestyle terrain, including a lighter or younger skier who wants a forgiving platform. Its soft, simple construction is friendly at moderate speeds but will be outgrown by strong skiers seeking hard-charging stability. It floats adequately in shallow soft snow, not deep powder; the Unleashed 98 or a wider ski is better when storm performance is the priority.
