Steadfast 85 DC + TPX 12

The 2027 Steadfast 85 DC is Nordica’s more powerful frontside-leaning all-mountain package. Its 84 mm waist in the 162 and 168, widening to 85 mm in the two longer sizes, keeps edge changes quick on groomers while giving the ski a little more support in bumps and soft patches than the Steadfast 80. Four lengths from 162 to 179 cm suit stronger resort skiers who want a precise daily ski with some room beyond the trail.

Nordica’s Energy TI Double Core places a titanal sheet and a Pulse elastomer layer between wood cores, with full sidewalls to transmit pressure cleanly to the edge. The metal adds torsional support and calmness when the snow is firm or the pace rises; the elastomer filters vibration so the ski does not feel harsh. On Piste rocker keeps the cambered center engaged for carving while easing release in bumps. This exact package includes the FDT HP Free Demo Plate and TPX 12 FDT binding, as specified in the technical table.

Choose it for an advanced skier who values crisp carving and stability but still wants to ski bumps, trees and softer spring snow. SkiEssentials’ 2027 testers describe strong edge grip, quickness and turn energy, with groomers as its clearest strength. The metal build is more demanding and less loose than the 80 DC, and 85 mm underfoot remains limited in deep snow. A wider ski suits storm days; a softer ski suits a cautious beginner.
