Overview
The 2027 Nordica Steadfast 80 CA is a wood-core all-mountain ski for resort skiers who spend most of their day on piste but want room to explore bumps, trees and shallow soft snow. Its waist measures 78 mm in the three shorter lengths and 80 mm in the two longest. That modest width keeps the emphasis on easy edge changes and accessible turns rather than powder flotation.
Nordica pairs Lite Performance Wood with sidewalls in its Energy CA construction. The wood provides the supporting structure, while the sidewalls transfer pressure to the edges. This is the CA version, without the Pulse elastomer layer specified in the Steadfast 80 DC. Its rocker-camber blend helps the ends enter and release turns while preserving useful edge contact underfoot. Nordica also emphasizes the ability to slide relaxed turns, making this a practical option when terrain or technique calls for steering instead of carving. TP2 Compact 10 FDT bindings and an FDT Free Demo Plate are included.
It suits progressing resort skiers who value manageable turning and want a little variety beyond groomed runs. The wood-core build is a useful distinction from the composite Steadfast 75 CA, without moving into a metal-reinforced performance ski. Intermediates should find its intended balance appealing; beginners should choose an appropriate length rather than assume every size is equally easy. Deep snow calls for more width, while aggressive high-speed skiing calls for a more demanding platform.
