Overview

The 2027 Spitfire TI is a frontside carving ski for resort skiers who want a precise edge without stepping straight into a demanding race construction. Its 70 mm waist in the 150 cm and 71 mm waist in the longer sizes keeps transitions quick, while five lengths from 150 to 174 cm cover a broad range of skiers. The SL-inspired tip is shaped for fast turn entry; the GS-influenced waist and tail leave room for both short arcs and longer piste turns.

Nordica lists an Energy TI construction with Performance Wood and full sidewalls. One metal layer adds torsional support and calmness on firm snow, while the wood core keeps the ski more approachable than a two-metal race platform. Full camber keeps the edge engaged through the turn and rewards deliberate pressure. The FDT Race Plate N connects the TP2 Light 11 FDT binding to the ski, with a 3–11 TC range and tool-free boot-length adjustment through the demo track.

Choose it for an intermediate or advanced skier who spends most days on groomers and wants to vary turn length without changing skis. The single-metal construction is intended to be more manageable than a full race build, though full camber still rewards deliberate edging and balance. Its narrow waist offers little flotation in deep snow. Skiers seeking a loose, easy pivot in soft snow should consider a wider rockered ski, while those seeking a demanding race platform have stronger options elsewhere in the range.

Construction & features

What the Spitfire TI FDT is built from, and what that means on snow.

  1. 01

    Energy TI construction

The wood-core Energy TI construction uses one sheet of metal to support precise carving with less demanding flex than a full race construction.

  2. 02

    Performance Wood and sidewall

Performance Wood supplies a predictable platform, and full sidewalls transfer pressure cleanly into the edges.

  3. 03

    Full camber

Full camber keeps the ski engaged through a carved turn and returns energy at the transition.

  4. 04

SL tip with GS waist and tail

The oversized SL-style tip helps initiate turns quickly while the GS-style waist and tail support varied arcs.

  5. 05

    FDT Race Plate N package

The exact package includes FDT Race Plate N and TP2 Light 11 FDT bindings with a 3–11 TC range.
