Overview

The 2027 Nordica Santa Ana 80 S is a junior all-mountain package aimed at girls progressing from basic turns toward more varied resort terrain. Its five lengths run from 120 to 160 cm, with a 78 mm waist in the shortest two sizes and 80 mm from 140 cm upward. It shares the published construction and geometry of the Enforcer 80 S, with Santa Ana graphics and positioning rather than a claimed softer factory tune.

A full wood core and sidewalls give this Energy CA ski an easy-to-flex platform with a direct connection to the edges. Nordica’s early-rise tip and tail help it release and move through bumps or softer snow. That makes it useful for practising different turn shapes beyond a single groomed line while retaining support underfoot. The FDT JR plate and JR7.0 FDT WB binding are included; the technical table lists a 2–7 release-setting range, with setup matched to the individual skier and boot.

Choose the Santa Ana 80 S for an intermediate or advancing junior who wants one ski for lessons, family laps, bumps and initial off-piste exploration. It provides a more appropriate flex for a lighter skier than a powerful adult metal ski. Its modest width will not float like a dedicated junior powder ski, and increasingly forceful skiers may eventually need more support. The longer sizes should match a real need for length and stability rather than a desire to skip several stages of progression.

Construction & features

What the Santa Ana 80 S + J7.0 is built from, and what that means on snow.

  1. 01

    Full wood core with sidewalls

The full wood core is easy for a lighter skier to flex, while sidewalls give pressure a direct path to the edges for controlled grip.

  2. 02

    All Mountain Rocker

Early rise in both ends helps release turns, smooth bumps and add versatility in softer snow while the center remains composed on groomers.

  3. 03

Junior FDT plate and J7.0 binding

The package includes the FDT JR RTL L plate with RS and JR7.0 FDT WB binding. The published release-setting range is 2–7; adjustment depends on the individual skier and boot.

  4. 04

    Junior geometry across 120–160 cm

The five sizes let the ski grow with the skier: shorter lengths turn quickly, while the longest choices add support without adult-ski stiffness.
