Supershape e-Rally

The 2027 HEAD Supershape e-Rally is a wide-bodied frontside carver for skiers who spend most of the day on groomers but want more platform than a narrow slalom-style ski. At 78 mm underfoot it remains quick edge to edge, while its mid-length radius can be steered through shorter turns or opened into a longer arc. It comes with a Better Balance PR plate and Protector EVO PR 13 GW binding.

HEAD lists a beech wood core, Worldcup Sandwich Cap construction, Crossforce Carbon, Graphene, EMC and a race-structured UHM C base. The metal-reinforced build and carbon underfoot support a strong, precise edge; EMC is HEAD's system for damping vibration. Speed Rocker eases the shovel into a turn, while the long effective edge and modest waist keep the ski focused on carving rather than flotation. Its radius increases from 11.5 m at 156 cm to 16.7 m at 184 cm, so the chosen length affects the turn shape.

Consider the e-Rally if you are an advanced skier who likes linked medium turns and a ski that stays composed when you add speed. SkiEssentials' 2027 testers describe it as smooth and intuitive, with a mix of quick short turns and longer arcs; one tester found the 170 less reassuring at speed, so length and technique matter. Its narrow shape and cambered carving focus are poor matches for powder days or frequent off-trail use, and its metal build asks more of the skier than a soft recreational carver.
