Overview

The 2027 HEAD Supershape e-Magnum is a narrow, piste-focused carver for skiers who enjoy making clean turns on groomed snow. The 72 mm waist and compact turn radius favour quick edge changes and short-to-medium arcs, while its race-inspired construction keeps the ski focused on precise carving. It returns unchanged for 2027. This representative official package pairs the ski with a Protector EVO PR 13 GW binding.

A Worldcup Sandwich Cap construction combines a wood core with two 0.6 mm Titanal layers, Graphene and Crossforce Carbon. The metal and carbon reinforce the ski for power and torsional support; the EMC circuit is designed to damp unwanted vibration, helping the ski stay calmer as speed builds. HEAD’s Speed Rocker/ERA 3.0 S profile uses a small amount of tip rocker with camber through most of the ski, so the shovel can engage smoothly while the cambered length supplies grip and rebound. The Better Balance PR wide plate maintains the package’s binding interface.

Choose the e-Magnum if groomers are the main event and you have the technique to pressure a relatively demanding ski. SkiEssentials’ 2027 testers describe it as planted and rewarding on firm snow, with strong carving appeal for advanced and expert skiers. Its narrow platform and pronounced on-piste focus make it less suited to soft snow, frequent off-trail skiing or a relaxed, easygoing day. A wider all-mountain ski is more versatile away from groomers; a softer frontside model will ask less precision from developing skiers.

Construction & features

What the Supershape e-Magnum is built from, and what that means on snow.

  1. 01

    Worldcup Sandwich Cap construction

HEAD’s sandwich construction builds the ski around a wood core and reinforcement layers for a precise, powerful piste feel. The official catalog lists this construction across Supershape models.

  2. 02

    Titanal and Graphene reinforcement

Two 0.6 mm Titanal layers add stiffness and damping; Graphene is integrated as a lightweight reinforcement. These materials support the ski’s firm-snow edge hold and stability.

  3. 03

    Crossforce Carbon

Carbon links the binding area to the ski’s construction, helping transfer pressure into the ski for a direct response on edge.

  4. 04

    EMC damping circuit

The Energy Management Circuit is HEAD’s vibration-damping system. It is intended to filter unwanted vibrations that can make a ski harder to control through a turn.

  5. 05

    Speed Rocker / ERA 3.0 S

A small amount of tip rocker smooths turn entry while camber through most of the ski maintains edge contact and rebound.

  6. 06

    Better Balance PR wide plate

The Better Balance PR wide Base is the mounting plate in this package; HEAD says its constant ramp angle supports easier turn initiation and stability at speed.

  7. 07

Protector EVO PR 13 GW binding

The selected package includes the Protector EVO PR 13 GW binding, mounted on the compatible rail interface.
