Overview

The Blizzard Sheeva 10 is a women’s freeride ski for soft snow, trees, bumps and bowls, with enough edge support for the return to the lift. Its 102 mm waist sits between the more groomer-friendly Sheeva 9 and powder-focused Sheeva 11. Five lengths run from 156 to 180 cm. The 2027 SkiEssentials test confirms a graphics refresh on unchanged construction.

The W.S.D. Trueblend Free core combines beech, poplar and paulownia in zones that support the middle while letting the ends flex more readily. W.S.D. FluxForm Freeride Ti adds tapered metal reinforcement for damping and support without making the extremities excessively rigid. Rockered tips and tails help the ski pivot and smear, while camber and full ABS sidewalls preserve edge contact when the snow firms up. The width brings useful flotation, with more effort required to roll onto an edge than a narrow resort ski.

Choose it for an advanced or expert skier who spends substantial time off piste and likes an active, centered stance. SkiEssentials testers differed in their assessments: some enjoyed quick, playful handling in soft snow, while others wanted more length or found less to like on hardpack. Its appeal depends on snow and skiing style. The Sheeva 11 offers more lift in deep powder; a narrower platform is more efficient for predominantly firm resort days.

Construction & features

What the Sheeva 10 is built from, and what that means on snow.

  1. 01

    W.S.D. Trueblend Free Woodcore

Beech, poplar and paulownia stringers are zoned to support the center while keeping the ends easier to flex for release and flotation.

  2. 02

    W.S.D. FluxForm Freeride Ti

Tapered titanal support adds damping and stability while allowing the ski to stay lively and easier to steer in soft snow.

  3. 03

Rockered tip, camber underfoot, rockered tail

Rocker at both ends helps the ski pivot and smear, while camber underfoot preserves useful edge contact on firmer snow.

  4. 04

    Full ABS sidewalls

Full ABS sidewalls transfer pressure into the edge and protect the sandwich construction when the ski meets rough terrain.

  5. 05

    102 mm freeride platform

The 102 mm waist adds flotation and landing support while remaining manageable for trees, bumps and mixed resort snow.

  6. 06

    Flat ski

Bindings are selected separately; the manufacturer provides a suggested binding rather than an included system.
