Overview

The 2027 Blizzard Canvas JR + FDT JR 7 WB is a playful junior ski for learning turns and beginning to explore small terrain features. Blizzard gives it a twin-tip shape and an even flex rather than scaling down the metal construction of an adult performance ski. Five lengths from 108 to 148 cm cover a range of growing skiers, with waists widening from 72 to 76 mm. The supplied junior binding and plate make this a complete resort package.

The JR Composite core and cap construction aim for an easy, manageable flex. Camber underfoot provides an edge-contact platform for developing parallel turns, while the raised twin tail makes the shape useful for playful direction changes and learning to ski backwards. Partial ABS sidewalls help transmit pressure toward the edges. The ski stays modest in width, so it remains practical on prepared runs; this is a junior progression tool rather than a dedicated deep-powder platform.

Choose the Canvas JR for a beginner or intermediate child who wants a forgiving ski with room for playful progression. It makes more sense for learning, family resort laps and gentle terrain features than for racing or forceful high-speed skiing. The FDT JR 7 WB binding has a 2–7 release-setting range, but package choice and adjustment should be matched professionally to the child and boot. Short and long plate formats follow the offered ski lengths. More accomplished juniors seeking stronger support should look to a performance-oriented junior ski.
