Overview

The 2027 Black Crows Serpo is a 93 mm all-mountain ski for people who spend most of the day on piste but want enough width and tail energy to explore bumps, trees and nearby soft snow. The Serpo carries over into 2026/27. Its 20 m radius is longer than a typical frontside carver and leaves room for medium-to-long arcs.

A poplar and fiberglass core with two Titanal plates underfoot adds grip and rebound around the binding zone. Semi-cap construction with ABS sidewalls supports edge pressure, while camber keeps contact underfoot and front rocker with a lighter tail rocker helps it release and pivot. SkiEssentials’ 2027 testers valued its turn-to-turn versatility and firm-snow grip, while noting that its sweet spot is resort skiing rather than deep powder.

This suits intermediates building confidence on groomers through advanced skiers who like to press into a turn, then head into bumps or trees. At 93 mm it can manage light fresh snow, but it will not float like a wider ski in deep powder; its longer radius also expects room for larger arcs. A skier who mostly wants quick, short turns on hard snow may prefer a narrower piste ski.

Construction & features

What the Serpo is built from, and what that means on snow.

  1. 01

    Poplar and fiberglass core

The poplar core provides the wood structure and fiberglass reinforces it. Black Crows pairs these materials with metal underfoot for a responsive resort ski.

  2. 02

    Two Titanal plates underfoot

Two Titanal plates beneath the binding zone add support and edge grip through turns, while the ski keeps a more lively flex toward its ends.

  3. 03

Progressive front rocker and light tail rocker

More rocker at the front and a lighter rise at the tail help the ski initiate, pivot and release turns; classic camber underfoot maintains edge contact on groomers.

  4. 04

    Semi-cap construction with ABS sidewalls

The semi-cap build transitions to ABS sidewalls around the edges, helping transmit pressure into the edge while keeping the construction lighter away from the binding area.

  5. 05

    Flat ski, bindings sold separately

The 2026/27 workbook shows the ski-only configuration. Bindings are not included and must be selected separately.
