Overview
Armada’s 2027 AntiMatter 100 is a freeride-oriented all-mountain ski for skiers who want a stable platform in mixed resort snow without giving up a loose, slashable feel. Its 100 mm waist sits between the narrower AntiMatter 92 and the wider 108/114 models, making it a plausible daily choice when groomers share time with trees, side hits and softer snow.
The poplar core is paired with Speedmetal, Armada’s shaped Titanal laminate, while EST Freeride Rocker adds rocker and taper at the ends around camber underfoot. That combination gives the ski a planted, damp feel when driven, yet lets the tapered, rockered tip steer into softer snow and the tail release when a turn needs to be smeared. SkiEssentials testers generally liked its quick, playful character, though at least one found the 100 less engaging on groomers than its 92 sibling; it is not a narrow-waisted carving tool.
This suits advanced skiers who like to push into variable terrain and want metal-supported stability with more freedom to pivot than a traditional directional charger. Testers also describe it as approachable for a strong intermediate, but its mass and tail ask for active input. Choose a narrower ski for frequent firm-snow carving, or a wider AntiMatter for deeper days.
Construction & features
What the ANTIMATTER 100 is built from, and what that means on snow.
- 01
Poplar core with Speedmetal
Armada combines a 100% poplar core with a shaped Titanal laminate. The wood keeps response lively; metal adds damping and support when skiing faster or on firm snow.
- 02
EST Freeride Rocker
Rocker and taper at the tip and tail with camber underfoot helps the ski pivot and release in soft or irregular snow while retaining a cambered contact zone for grip.
- 03
AR100 sidewall
Full-length sidewalls transmit pressure to the edges and help the ski hold a line on firm snow.
- 04
2.1 All Mountain Edge
The heat-treated edge is specified as a balance of durability and feel; that is distinct from a claim about factory edge tune.
- 05
Comp Series Base
A durable sintered base is designed for fast glide; regular waxing helps maintain it.
- 06
Flat ski — bindings sold separately
This is the ski-only configuration. Bindings are purchased separately and require professional mounting and adjustment.
