ARCADE 88 OPEN

The Rossignol Arcade 88 is a firm-snow focused all-mountain ski carried into 2027 unchanged in shape, construction and graphics. Its 88 mm waist gives it a little more reach into bumps and chopped snow than the Arcade 84, but the limited rocker and minimal taper keep its personality firmly on piste. The Unisex Open version is sold flat, leaving binding choice and mounting to the buyer.

A thick poplar core, full Titanal layer, Line Control Technology and VAS tip damping form a powerful, torsionally strong platform. Full sidewalls send pressure cleanly to the edges, while the long effective edge and short radius create direct, energetic medium turns. SkiEssentials testers describe strong edge grip, substantial rebound and the ability to plow through crud, with enough damping to stay calm as the surface deteriorates. That same stiffness and directional tail demand speed and deliberate input; the ski is less forgiving when a turn is left unfinished.

The Arcade 88 suits advanced and expert resort skiers who want carving precision with some latitude for bumps, tracked snow and short off-piste detours. It is a compelling choice for powerful skiers who enjoy finishing turns across the fall line, but it is a lot of ski for relaxed cruising or developing technique. Deep snow exposes the limits of its narrow waist and restrained rocker, while a playful skier may prefer a looser, wider freeride shape. Choose the Arcade 84 for a slightly more approachable ride, or move to a wider ski when soft snow is the priority.
